Bishop John R. McGann was a prominent figure in the Catholic Church, known for his leadership and influence within the Diocese of Rockville Centre, New York. However, this veneer of trust and authority has been shattered by the emergence of disturbing allegations of sexual misconduct against the bishop.
Two women came forward in February 2019 accusing McGann of Abuse in the 1960’s and 1970’s. The two women said they were 11 years old when fondled by McGann during a Christmas party.
